Yacht Hire Gold Coast: Everything You Need to Know Before You Book
Thinking about yacht hire on the Gold Coast? Start with your guest numbers, preferred date and the time you want to spend on the water. Inspiration Cruises offers private charters aboard Inspiration, a 51ft Sealine T51 motor yacht, for up to 25 guests.
This guide covers what is included, how the pricing works and the details to organise before you book.
What is included in a private yacht charter?
Your group has private use of the yacht with skipper and crew, indoor and outdoor entertaining areas, onboard bathroom facilities and a sound system for your own playlist. Onboard Wi-Fi is available.
We provide a large esky, ice, cups, plates, plastic champagne flutes and tumblers. BYO food and drinks are welcome, with no red wine onboard. Optional catering is arranged separately; it is not included in the charter price.
How much does yacht hire cost?
The current standard charter rate is $690 per hour including GST: $650 per hour plus a $40 per hour fuel levy. There is a two-hour minimum, making the minimum charter total $1,380.
Two hours: $1,380 for the yacht.
Three hours: $2,070 for the yacht.
Four hours: $2,760 for the yacht.
These are whole-charter prices, not per-person tickets. For example, a two-hour charter shared equally by 20 guests works out to $69 each before food, drinks or other extras. The total charter price remains the same if fewer people attend.
A $500 deposit secures a standard advance booking, with the balance due two weeks before the cruise. Check the amount due at checkout for bookings close to departure. Read the current pricing and Terms & Conditions before paying. Special event sessions, including New Year’s Eve, may have different prices and arrangements.
Where can we cruise?
Our Gold Coast charters explore the Nerang River, Surfers Paradise waterways and the Broadwater. Longer bookings may allow time to discuss destinations such as Wave Break Island or South Stradbroke Island and Tipplers.
Your route depends on your charter length, weather, tides and the skipper’s assessment. Tell us whether your priority is sightseeing, a sunset celebration or a possible swim stop. A particular island, swim stop or sunset view cannot be guaranteed. Browse our cruise destinations before choosing your duration.
Which occasions suit yacht hire?
A private charter can suit birthdays, hens parties, bucks parties, corporate events and relaxed family outings. A smaller group can book the same yacht; you do not need to fill all 25 places.
Choose the style of cruise around your guests. A sightseeing outing needs a different plan from a celebration with catering or entertainment. Confirm any externally arranged entertainment and setup requirements with us before booking suppliers.
Where do we board, and what should we bring?
Boarding is from the public pontoon at 73 Cavill Ave, Surfers Paradise QLD 4217. Ask everyone to arrive 10 minutes before the confirmed start time. Paid parking is available at Circle on Cavill or on surrounding streets; allow extra time to park and walk to the pontoon.
Bring your food, drinks, playlist and weather-appropriate clothing. Wear non-marking or white-soled shoes, or go barefoot. If you hope to swim, bring swimwear and a towel and check the plan with the crew. Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian throughout the charter.
