Inspiration Cruises – Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all charters booked with Inspiration Cruises, operated by Gisbro Pty Ltd (ABN 99158703569). By confirming a booking, you agree to the following:

1. Bookings, Deposits & Payments

  • A $500 deposit is required to secure your booking. This deposit is non-refundable.
  • The remaining balance is due no later than 14 days before your cruise date.
  • Failure to pay the balance by this date may result in cancellation of your booking and forfeiture of the deposit.
  • Payment methods: bank transfer or credit card (surcharges may apply).

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • All deposits are non-refundable, regardless of the cancellation reason.
  • If you cancel more than 14 days before your cruise, any additional payments (excluding deposit) may be refunded at our discretion.
  • If you cancel within 14 days of your cruise, all payments are forfeited unless we are able to rebook your slot. Rescheduling may be offered as a goodwill gesture subject to availability.
  • No-shows or cancellations on the day will result in 100% forfeiture of all payments.

Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend travel insurance for interstate and international guests.

3. Weather & Safety

  • Cruises proceed in most weather conditions, including light rain and overcast skies. Refunds are not issued for weather unless the skipper deems it unsafe to operate.
  • In the rare event of a cancellation due to unsafe conditions (e.g. high winds or storms), you will be offered a reschedule or full refund.
  • The decision to cancel due to weather is made by the skipper only and is final. We do not cancel due to forecasted rain alone.
  • All charters are conducted within sheltered inland waterways — not open ocean.
  • All guests must follow crew safety instructions at all times.
  • Wet weather may result in slippery decks. Guests must take extreme caution when moving around the vessel.

4. Responsible Behaviour Onboard

  • BYO alcohol/food is permitted; responsible behaviour is expected at all times.
  • No illegal substances permitted. Serious misconduct will be reported to authorities.
  • The booking party is responsible for ensuring all guests behave respectfully and safely.

5. Bond & Damage

  • A bond may be required depending on the nature of your charter.
  • The booking party is liable for any damage to the vessel, furniture, or equipment.
  • A $250 minimum cleaning fee applies if bodily fluids (e.g. vomit) are found on carpet, upholstery, or bedding.

6. Guest List & Capacity

  • Maximum guest capacity: 25 passengers (plus crew).
  • Final guest numbers are due at least 48 hours prior to departure.

7. Pickup, Departure & Timing

  • Main departure point: Mariners Cove Marina, Main Beach QLD (unless otherwise arranged).
  • Please arrive 10–15 minutes early. Late arrival may reduce your cruise time.
  • Your scheduled cruise start/end time will be adhered to regardless of actual boarding time.
  • Inspiration Cruises reserves the right to make minor adjustments to departure times or pickup locations if required due to circumstances beyond our control, such as marina access changes or the use of public pontoons. Guests will be notified in advance where possible, and every effort will be made to minimise disruption.

8. Liability & Risk

  • All guests board and cruise at their own risk. The vessel may have moving, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
  • To protect the vessel, all guests must remove shoes upon boarding. No high heels or black-soled shoes permitted. Guests may bring clean non-marking deck shoes or grip socks if preferred.
  • By cruising barefoot, guests accept full responsibility for their own safety and release Gisbro Pty Ltd from liability for any injuries arising from slips, falls, or failure to exercise caution.
  • Guests must take care at all times and follow crew instructions. Use handrails when moving around the vessel, especially in wet or windy conditions.

9. Swimming & Water Activities

  • Swimming is allowed only with the captain’s approval, based on location, weather, and guest condition.
  • All swimming and water activities are entirely at your own risk.
  • Life jackets are available upon request and may be required at the captain’s discretion.

10. Photography & Promotion

  • Guests are welcome to take personal photos and videos onboard.
  • Inspiration Cruises may take promotional photos during charters. Please let us know if you prefer not to be included.

11. Privacy

  • All contact details provided are used strictly for booking, safety, and communication purposes.
  • Your information is not shared with any third party without consent.

12. Third-Party Bookings

If your cruise was booked through an agency or online platform, these Terms & Conditions still apply in full. By boarding the vessel, you accept these terms regardless of booking method.

13. Agreement

By paying your deposit, you confirm that you accept these Terms & Conditions and that all guests in your party have been made aware of their responsibilities while onboard.
