A calm and meaningful way to say goodbye
Inspiration Cruises offers private memorial cruises for families wanting a peaceful, unhurried setting on the water. Whether you’re planning a simple ash scattering or a more personal gathering with music, flowers or readings, we’ll help keep the experience calm and respectful.
Simple, personal and shaped around your family
Every family wants something slightly different. Some prefer a very quiet farewell, while others want time for shared memories, music or a small onboard tribute.
A quiet departure
Board gently, settle in with your family and cruise to a calm Gold Coast location without feeling rushed.
Your own words and music
Families are welcome to bring readings, a celebrant, flowers or a playlist that feels meaningful to the moment.
A peaceful farewell on the water
Take the time you need, then return with a quiet cruise back through the Broadwater and nearby waterways.
You don’t need to have every detail figured out
If you’re still deciding what feels right, we can help talk through timing, guest numbers and the kind of atmosphere you’d like. Some families prefer something very simple. Others want a little more time and structure. Both are absolutely fine.

Questions families often ask
A few practical answers to help make planning feel easier.
Can we choose a quiet location for the ash scattering?
Yes. We’ll help guide you toward calm Gold Coast locations that suit the day, the conditions and the kind of farewell you want.
How many guests can we bring?
We can host up to 25 guests onboard for a private memorial cruise.
Can we bring flowers, music or a celebrant?
Yes. Families are welcome to bring flowers, readings, a celebrant or music that feels appropriate for the occasion.
How long should we allow?
Most families choose 2 to 3 hours. That usually gives enough time for boarding, cruising, the memorial moment itself and a quiet return.
What happens if the weather is poor?
We use sheltered waterways where possible. If conditions are unsafe, we’ll talk you through the best option, including rescheduling if needed.
Where do we board?
Boarding is at 73 Cavill Ave, Surfers Paradise QLD 4217.
