Top Reasons to Book a Party Cruise on the Gold Coast

When planning a party cruise on the Gold Coast, the right duration depends on what you want to fit into the booking. Food, photos, speeches and a possible swim stop all take time, so start with a short list of priorities.

Inspiration Cruises offers private celebrations for up to 25 guests aboard our 51ft motor yacht, with skipper and crew. Here is how to choose your length and keep the party easy to organise.

Two hours: keep the plan focused

A two-hour charter can suit a birthday outing or a celebration built around sightseeing, music and time together. Choose one main activity rather than trying to fit in a meal, entertainment and a distant island stop.

The standard two-hour total is $1,380 including GST and the fuel levy. If 20 people share it equally, that is $69 each before food, drinks and extras.

Three hours: allow more social time

A three-hour charter gives you more room to serve food, take group photos and enjoy the cruise without packing every moment. If swimming is a priority, ask whether a suitable stop can fit the route and conditions.

The standard three-hour total is $2,070, or $103.50 each when shared equally by 20 people, before extras. This is a whole-charter price; the total stays the same if your final group is smaller.

Four hours: discuss a more relaxed itinerary

A four-hour charter can allow more time for cruising and a possible stop. Discuss your preferred destination with us before booking so the return journey and any planned activity fit the time available.

The standard four-hour total is $2,760, or $138 each for 20 contributors, before extras. Routes and swim stops depend on weather, tides and the skipper’s assessment. See current pricing and check special-event sessions separately.

Build a simple party run sheet

  • Before boarding: have one organiser coordinate guests, food and the playlist.

  • At the start: allow time for boarding and the crew’s briefing.

  • During the cruise: agree when to serve food, take photos or make a short toast.

  • Before returning: leave time to collect belongings and prepare to disembark.

A short run sheet helps the crew understand your priorities. Avoid promising guests a particular island or swimming time until you have discussed the plan with us.

Organise food, music and decorations

BYO food and drinks are welcome, with no red wine onboard. We supply a large esky, ice, cups, plates, plastic champagne flutes and tumblers. Optional catering is arranged separately.

Nominate a phone for the sound system and prepare a playlist before the cruise. Onboard Wi-Fi is available. You can bring small, removable decorations, but no confetti or permanent adhesives. Styling is not supplied; confirm larger setups or outside entertainment with us first.

Make the arrival details clear

Board at the public pontoon at 73 Cavill Ave, Surfers Paradise. Ask every guest to arrive 10 minutes before the confirmed start. Circle on Cavill and surrounding street parking are paid.

Share the cruise information and confirmed finish time before making dinner, transfer or nightlife plans after your cruise.
