Gold Coast Corporate Event Cruises: The Ultimate Way to Celebrate in Style

A private yacht cruise can provide a relaxed setting for a team celebration, client gathering or networking event on the Gold Coast. A clear brief helps you choose a suitable duration, budget and onboard plan before inviting guests.

Inspiration Cruises hosts private groups of up to 25 guests aboard Inspiration, a 51ft motor yacht with skipper and crew. Here is a practical approach for the person organising the event.

Set the purpose and guest list

Decide whether the event is about recognising your team, entertaining clients or spending time together outside the workplace. This determines how much of the cruise you want to leave open for conversation and how much needs a planned activity.

Confirm the full guest count and discuss any access or boarding needs with us before booking. Include external suppliers in your planning discussions so capacity and setup requirements can be checked.

Prepare a budget for approval

The standard charter rate is $690 per hour including GST and the fuel levy, with a two-hour minimum of $1,380. A three-hour charter is $2,070, and four hours is $2,760. These prices cover the whole yacht with skipper and crew.

Separate the yacht cost from catering, drinks, transfers and any external entertainment. For example, a three-hour standard charter shared across a 20-person team works out to $103.50 per guest before those additions. Check current prices and special-event arrangements for your date.

A $500 deposit secures a standard advance booking, with the balance due two weeks before departure. Check the amount due at booking and the Terms & Conditions before seeking approval or committing supplier payments.

Keep the run sheet simple

  • Allow time for guests to board and hear the crew’s briefing.

  • Choose a time for serving food that works with your cruise plan.

  • Tell us in advance if you want a short welcome or speech.

  • Leave time for informal conversation and group photos.

  • Share the confirmed finish time with anyone arranging onward travel.

Inspiration has a sound system and Wi-Fi, but discuss presentation, microphone or other equipment requirements before relying on them. Do not assume the yacht has a meeting-room audiovisual setup.

Plan catering and refreshments

BYO food and drinks are welcome, with no red wine onboard. A large esky, ice, cups, plates, plastic champagne flutes and tumblers are provided. Collect dietary requirements before ordering and include non-alcoholic options.

See optional catering information for arrangements. Confirm menus, service, delivery and supplier availability separately. Large decorations, branded installations and outside entertainment should be discussed with us before you book them.

Choose the setting for your event

Discuss a sightseeing route through the Surfers Paradise waterways or a longer Broadwater outing. Routes and stops depend on duration and conditions, with the final decision made by the skipper. If a particular activity is essential to your event, check its suitability before paying.

Send accurate boarding instructions

Meet at the public pontoon at 73 Cavill Ave, Surfers Paradise QLD 4217, 10 minutes before the confirmed start. Parking at Circle on Cavill and surrounding streets is paid. Share these details with guests and transfer providers.
