How to Plan the Ultimate Hens Party Cruise on the Gold Coast
Neon queens on deck! This hens party brought the fun, flair and fanny packs to the Gold Coast waterways.
A hens party cruise gives the bride and her friends time together in a private setting on the Gold Coast waterways. The easiest celebrations to organise begin with a clear guest list, a shared budget and a few details that reflect what the bride enjoys.
Inspiration Cruises hosts up to 25 guests aboard Inspiration, a 51ft motor yacht with skipper and crew. Use this checklist to plan the day without overloading the itinerary.
1. Agree on numbers and the shared budget
Ask guests to confirm before you make the booking. Decide whether the group will cover the bride’s share, and explain how you will split the yacht, catering and any extras.
The standard charter price is $690 per hour including GST and the fuel levy, with a two-hour minimum of $1,380. For a three-hour charter, the $2,070 total divided between 15 contributors is $138 each before food, drinks and extras. Fewer attendees do not reduce the whole-charter price.
Check current prices, the amount due at checkout and the booking terms before collecting money. For standard advance bookings, a $500 deposit secures the date and the balance is due two weeks before the cruise.
2. Choose the time and style of cruise
Ask whether the bride would prefer a daytime gathering, a relaxed sightseeing outing or a sunset celebration. Discuss your preferred duration and priorities with us before promising a specific destination or swim stop.
The route depends on booking length, conditions and the skipper’s assessment. Sunset time varies through the year, and the view depends on the weather. Confirm the finish time before booking dinner or onward transport.
Themed dress-ups bring a whole new level of fun — especially at golden hour!
3. Coordinate food and drinks
BYO food and drinks are welcome, with no red wine onboard. We supply a large esky, ice, cups, plates, plastic champagne flutes and tumblers. Choose easy-to-share food and collect dietary requirements before ordering.
Our catering information explains the optional arrangements. Nominate one person to coordinate food and another to check that water and non-alcoholic drinks are included.
4. Plan the music and personal touches
Create a playlist with the bride’s favourites and nominate a phone to connect to the sound system. Onboard Wi-Fi is available. Discuss any external DJ, entertainer or photographer with us before booking, including setup and space requirements.
Small, removable decorations can add a personal touch. No confetti or permanent adhesives are permitted. Decorations and styling are not supplied, and large installations need prior discussion.
Want to surprise the bride-to-be? Optional topless waiters or fun party hosts are always a hit with the group.
5. Leave space for photos and conversation
Choose a few photo ideas or a short game rather than scheduling every minute. Ask the crew where decorations and belongings can be placed without obstructing access. Keep photo plans flexible around the route and conditions.
Browse our photos and videos to see the yacht’s setting. If you hope to swim, bring a towel and swimwear and check the plan with the crew.
6. Send the boarding details to every guest
Meet at the public pontoon at 73 Cavill Ave, Surfers Paradise QLD 4217, 10 minutes before the confirmed start. Parking at Circle on Cavill and surrounding streets is paid, so allow time to park and walk.
Share the date, start and finish times, boarding address and cruise information in one message. Wear non-marking or white-soled shoes, or go barefoot.
7. Book when the group is ready
Explore our hens party cruises, then view availability and book online. If you need help with timings or special plans, send your preferred date, guest count and duration.
